CRUX BARDOLINO DOP 2017 – 13% Vol.
Crux is a significant choice between the sweetness and light drinkability of fruit and the search for elegance, longevity, and structure. This unique wine was created through a rigorous selection of grapes and professional winemaking, based on ethically correct and regenerative agriculture. The long aging in cement vats for over two years and the rejection of the use of wood ensure the authenticity of the grape blends. The process of bottling without filtration and an additional year’s rest in the bottle make this Bardolino a treasure for the palate. The grape selection follows high-quality criteria to offer a unique taste experience. On the label, a arm rooted in the ground is represented as the support of a cross, on whose crossbar there is on one side a bunch of grapes and on the other time, representing the crucial choice that the winemaker faces.
• Grapes: Corvina, to a large extent, accompanied by small percentages of Rondinella, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Oseleta and Teroldego.
• Winemaking: A year-long aging in a cement vat. Absolute rejection of the use of wood, guilty of altering the true nature of the grape blends. The perspective of a bottling without filtration. An additional two-year rest in the bottle before finally being sold.
• Tasting notes: This wine has a strong identity and an elegant nose with scents of red fruit, citrus, violet, rose hips, basil, and mint. On the palate it is silky, full-bodied, fresh, and savory with a lively tannin and a solid structure.
